Chapter 326 I’m Coming!
Hera could hear Rafael’s aggrieved voice on the other end of the line, and it was clear that everyone could hear it too. It struck her as oddly amusing to hear such a tough, mafia-like figure sounding so distressed and vulnerable. Hera’s shoulders shook with suppressed laughter as she lowered her head, trying to maintain her composure and prevent others from seeing her break from her character during the livestream.
Hera was struggling to hold back her laughter, tempted to tease Rafael a bit more to see how he’d react. Meanwhile, Rafael, watching Hera on the screen with her lowered head and trembling shoulders, felt a chill run through him. A lump formed in his throat as he grew increasingly anxious, his hands and feet growing cold with worry.
Without a doubt, Rafael could sense Hera’s anger and feelings of betrayal. He feared that she might believe he was genuinely involved with Alice and that Hera had become a target due to Alice’s jealousy over his shifting attention.
"H-Hera... Please don’t listen to what she said. She’s been spending time with my sister, but I’ve never met her privately. I’ve been swamped with work and often end up sleeping in my office because I’m so busy. With my parents traveling, I’m also managing the Briley Corporation, so I barely have any time." Rafael’s usually composed demeanor was replaced by frantic desperation as he stumbled over his words, trying to convey his innocence. Even without seeing his face, anyone listening could easily imagine his panic.
"I-I really am not involved with any women. The only women close to me are my sister and mother. I’ve never had any interest in anyone else. I’ve come to realize that many only see me as a means to gain status or for their schemes. I—Damn it! What am I even saying?! I didn’t mean to imply that you’re like those women. Rafael’s explanation grew increasingly awkward as he stumbled over his words, his attempt to clarify only making things more confusing.

"Fuck! I’ll come see you in 15! I would want to explain my case. So don’t leave that place, I’ll come for you!!!" Rafael said with gritted teeth, embarrassed by his earlier clumsy attempts at explanation, he was determined not to miss his chance, especially when he heard his other love rivals that he wouldn’t have a chance to court Hera anymore because of this, he was flustered. More than anyone, he knew his place and it was really at the bottom of the ranking, behind his other love rivals and he was still trying his best to redeem himself and before he could, another challenge stood before him.
