Hera didn’t know how long she had been glued to her phone. After informing Athena about Lucas and Logan, she also started chatting with Betty about Logan. Though she had just met Logan, she felt he wasn’t really a complicated person and wasn’t inherently bad. Reflecting on the novel’s trajectory, Hera believed there must have been something that pushed Logan to become what he was in the story.

Besides, just thinking about Minerva and Alice and their characters, she couldn’t fully trust what was written in the novel anymore. Their quick closeness to Lucas suggested they were birds of a feather, and perhaps Lucas was also an opportunist.

If that were the case, Hera’s priority should be covering all bases to protect Logan. Even though she wasn’t directly managing UE, the company still fell under her banner. Therefore, protecting Logan meant safeguarding her own people and their interests.
