Chapter 192 To the Cafeteria
As she descended the stairs, Hera’s dress elegantly swayed, gracefully following her every movement and accentuating her voluptuous figure. The ensemble exuded a sensual yet innocent charm. Opting to forgo makeup, Hera preserved her fresh, innocent look, avoiding any risk of appearing gaudy and ensuring her sophistication remained intact.
At the foot of the stairs stood Cindy, awaiting Hera’s descent. "Young Miss, I heard that the young minister broke into your room last night?" Cindy said, her voice filled with concern.
Upon hearing Cindy’s words, Hera’s lips twitched with a mix of irritation and amusement. She had almost forgotten about the incident until Cindy brought it up. Gritting her teeth, Hera was relieved that Dave hadn’t crossed any lines that would warrant her breaking his bones. She decided to let it slide; after all, she had played a role in the situation. It was simply a case of reaping what she had sown.
"It’s fine, Cindy. He didn’t do anything inappropriate," Hera explained calmly, her smile unwavering.
Rather than heaving a sigh of relief, Cindy gasped incredulously. "Does he have any issues in that regard?"
Hera tilted her head to the side and came to a halt, contemplating Cindy’s words. Gradually, she realized that Cindy was suggesting Dave might have an issue with his lower half, like erectile dysfunction. Understanding Cindy’s implication, Hera couldn’t help but ponder: how could a healthy young man in his mid-20s resist the temptation to engage in inappropriate behavior behind closed doors, especially while sharing a bed with a beautiful woman?
Even Hera couldn’t shake the disbelief that if she hadn’t been present in the room to witness it firsthand, she might have doubted that nothing untoward had occurred. The only logical explanation seemed to be that Dave had encountered a performance issue. Chuckling inwardly at the misunderstanding, Hera chose not to correct Cindy; it was slightly humorous, and it was the only way to assure her that nothing had happened. She made a mental note to address it with Cindy later, but for now, she needed to rush to the university as soon as possible.
Understanding Hera’s urgency, Cindy refrained from pressing the topic further. Instead, she opened a small briefcase containing the car keys, ensuring Hera wouldn’t need to search for them herself. Hera selected the key for the Lamborghini Veneno Roadster, which Hera had yet to try, Cindy handed it to her and escorted her to the elevator. Once Hera was on her way, Cindy waited until the elevator doors closed and Hera reached the basement before returning inside the penthouse. Meanwhile, Hera strode confidently toward her chosen car.
Hera drove steadily on the road, determined not to rush. The last thing she wanted was to risk an accident, which would only further delay her already tight schedule. Her cautious driving was not only a matter of personal safety but also a display of respect for the law, despite her family’s potential connections to traffic enforcers.
While driving, Athena called Hera again to check on her whereabouts. "Babe, are you on the way? I’ll wait for you in the university cafeteria, okay?"
"Great! I haven’t eaten anything yet. Could you order for me too? Pretty please?" Hera made sure to infuse her voice with sweetness as she requested Athena to buy her food as well.
