"Are you sure, Zhane?" Hera asked Zhane again because she didn’t want to impose if he was merely being polite by offering his expertise. However, she also trusted the exceptional doctors affiliated with the Avery banner and knew she could seek their opinions regardless.
"I actually find his condition worth researching about and if the operation was successful it could become a learning material for all the doctors worldwide, so I was planning to offer a free consultation an operation in exchange for us taking in footage of the whole operation and the medical record be shared with the other doctors." Zhane elaborated while he was keeping his serious expression.
In reality, Zhane’s words were not premeditated; rather, they were a spontaneous decision made on the spot. He wasn’t motivated by embarrassment over eavesdropping, but rather by a genuine desire to assist Hera. Furthermore, he saw it as an opportunity to justify his presence outside, should his brothers attempt to undermine his intentions by suggesting he was there for Hera instead of Luke.
Despite lacking dating experience, Zhane’s professional background enabled him to adeptly read people, including his brothers’ evident interest in Hera. Feeling compelled to pursue a connection with her, he found himself at a loss for how to proceed. To complicate matters, his mother had observed their interaction at the coffee shop during their mall outing, and Hera’s appearance on a variety show she frequently watched only fueled her curiosity, leading her to repeatedly inquire about Hera.
Though his family adhered to traditional values, they didn’t prioritize wealth or social status when evaluating individuals. She firmly believed that a woman of Hera’s caliber would naturally attract suitors, emphasizing that her qualities as a potential wife were undeniable.
