Chapter 70 Pettiness Strikes again
Leo seethed with anger, frustrated by how these individuals consistently hijacked his precious time with his fiancée. He had been restraining his temper, but there was a breaking point beyond which he could no longer tolerate their intrusion.
However, his frustration stemmed from his inability to express his thoughts about this arrangement openly.
Hera found herself caught in the crossfire between these men. It seemed Athena was aware that the male lead squad would be attending the Charity Auction, yet she hadn’t bothered to give Hera a heads-up. Feeling flabbergasted, Hera couldn’t help but grimace.
As the crowd swirled around her, a throbbing headache began to build. Hera silently mulled over how to handle the situation with these men. However, one thing was clear: Leo’s presence was unexpected. He wasn’t part of the male lead squad she had anticipated encountering, so she dismissed their meeting as pure coincidence, opting not to dwell on it further.
But there’s something that flickered inside her head, causing Hera to cast a narrowed glance at Leo. Despite the complexity of the situation in the ladies’ room when she reprimanded and threatened Leo, she opted not to dwell on it too deeply, almost pushing it to the back of her mind.
But now that she had the chance to think about it did she realized that this man acted like a wronged child and even acted cute to get away from touching her inappropriately probably because of her threat of cutting his manhood off.
His emotional display, even shedding a tear, deeply touched her, prompting her to respond with compassion, comforting him as if he were a child in need. A thought even crossed her mind that he might be autistic, given his behavior at that time.
Only now did she remember this piece of information because of her distraught and how fast-paced everything had become. But now that she had the time to consider everything, this man really had complete control of his facial expressions which made it easier for him to act the way he did earlier.
Hera couldn’t help but think sarcastically, ’With his acting skills and handsome face, he could easily become a promising actor.’
Hera’s lips twitched involuntarily as she realized she had been deceived. However, she found herself unsure of how to address the situation, particularly with more men surrounding her.
’Ah, forget it! Just forget it!’
