Chapter 56 Relaxation
Now that Hera had formulated a plan, all that remained was to set it into motion. Following their dinner, Hera and Athena parted ways, each driving off in their respective cars.
Wanting to express her gratitude to Zhane for his assistance, particularly regarding Alexi’s case, Hera reached for her phone to send a thank-you message. However, she couldn’t find Zhane’s contact information saved on her phone. It dawned on her that they had never exchanged phone numbers. With a sigh, she returned her phone to her bag and drove off.
Upon arriving home, Hera indulged in a luxurious long, hot bath infused with bath salts and rose petal bath bombs. As the warm water enveloped her, she allowed herself to surrender to its soothing embrace, washing away the exhaustion of the day and banishing the troubling thoughts of the uncertain future that loomed over her.
Aware that dwelling on these uncertainties would only exacerbate her mental strain, Hera recognized the need to recalibrate her thoughts and find solace in relaxation. She resolved to set aside her worries for the time being and simply immerse herself in the tranquility of the moment.
Time seemed to slip away swiftly as Hera indulged in her relaxation. Despite the passing minutes, the water retained its comforting warmth, thanks to the hot stones she had thoughtfully added after thirty minutes of soaking. With her eyes closed, she surrendered herself to the serene ambiance.
Emerging from the bath, Hera felt an overwhelming sense of tranquility enveloping her, melting her worries away like snow under the sun. Buoyed by this newfound peace, she drifted into a deep, restful sleep that carried her through the night and into the next day.
As Hera opened her eyes, the gentle morning light kissed her face, signaling the start of a new day. Drawing in a deep breath of the crisp morning air, she reveled in its invigorating freshness. With a languid stretch of her limbs, she settled back, relishing the rare luxury of a leisure morning devoid of the usual rush to prepare for her early part-time jobs. Finally, she could savor a moment of calm without the pressure to catch her breath.
Feeling rejuvenated, a smile naturally spread across Hera’s lips as she stirred from her bed. With deliberate movements, she rose from her bed and made her way to the bathroom, eager to refresh herself. After a quick wash, she changed into her running clothes, ready to embark on her morning jog around the vast grounds of the mansion.
Right after her morning run, Cindy kindly notified Hera that her breakfast was ready for her in the serene setting of the greenhouse garden.
