Going over to the hospital every morning and leaving by noon became a regular routine for Kingsley. He sorted files in the hospital while Jasmine lay on the bed;still in a coma.
He didn’t forget to always take a flask containing a variety of dishes along. In hopes that if Jasmine wakes up,he will be the first person to feed her something edible.
When he leaves in the afternoon, Nicole takes his place. Nicole was one of the people who made visiting the hospital part of a daily life activity. She would sit next to Jasmine, hold her hand, and pray for a while—sometimes cry. In the evening when Hailey would return from the babysitter’s house, she would have to return for Kingsley and Mrs Trevor to take over.
Because of the coma incident, Nicole had to look for a babysitter for Hailey through a recommendation from Raymond. Kingsley watches over Jasmine from morning till noon and then, Nicole takes over and then, Mrs Trevor comes too along with Kingsley to take care of her in the evening. Mrs Trevor spends the night there while Kingsley returns home. That was how they swapped watchman ship until Nicole had to resume work.
One week went by in a blur. The news of her in a coma was tightly sealed by Kingsley who wouldn’t allow the media to get the information but somehow, it managed to leak out. For the next few days, several security officers were placed in the hospital to shoo reporters.
On this fateful day, It was evening and Kingsley parked his car in the hospital’s garage. His face was a little tight due to stress from work and his grandfather who kept yelling that he wanted to see Jasmine. Grandpa Elm got the news of Jasmine’s comatose state so he confirmed from Kingsley who didn’t hide it from him. Grandpa Elm wanted to visit but Kingsley suggested that he wait until she was out of coma but the old man was reluctant.
