Chapter 24 That’s Compensation
"It was nice working with you, Mr Elm." Mr Richard said as he stood up from his seat with glittering eyes as if he had won the lottery.
Jasmine smiled widely at him while kingsley remained seated with a calm look on his face while his eyes were on the file sitting on the table.
Jasmine led Mr Richard out of the office with a big smile on her face.
The meeting was swift because Kingsley knew how well to play his card. But the stake was just too much for a 30% share in Raven’s Corp.
After bidding the man goodbye, Jasmine hurried over to Kingsley’s office and she saw him sitting in that same spot.
"Wow, that was quick and smooth but giving him thirty million for a 30% share, is like a lottery for him," Jasmine commented as she sat on the chair opposite him which Mr Richard sat on earlier.
Without dwelling on that, Kingsley grabbed the file on the desk and handed it over to Jasmine with a straight face. "At least, you are one of the major shareholders of Raven’s Corp now. I think the price was worth it." He said nonchalantly as if such a huge amount hadn’t been removed from his bank account.
Jasmine grinned while taking the file with a wide smile on her face. She opened it while talking. "So, how much am I going to pay you?? I don’t have thirty million."
Kingsley threw her a side look before his face was replaced with a blank look. "Isn’t this part of me fulfilling my side of the bargain? Play my pretend wife while I help you get Jack out of the way."
