Chapter 1. Let Me Live,Please
"A bride who died in her wedding dress, on her wedding day. Isn't that a good headline?" The mocking voice flooded past Jasmine's ears but the pain that shot through her bones was greater,it made her unable to concentrate on his words.
Clutching on her stomach, her hands wrapped around the knife that was plunged into her stomach, A single tear drop escaped her eyes, then another before they started pouring like an open dam.
Pain wrapped around her. She weakly raised her gaze to look at the man before her. The man she loved, the man she wedded barely an hour ago.
Tears clouded Jasmine Trevor's eyes as she weakly called out "Why, Jack...?" Her voice weakened and trailed off.
In her white wedding dress, the front was stained deep red with blood. Her makeup was smudged as sweat dripped from her forehead, colliding with her tears.
Jack Raven snorted as he took a step towards her. They were at the rooftop of their wedding venue.
"Don't you get it, Jasmine? I don't want to be with you but your sick self keeps sticking up to my skin!" He cursed, making Jasmine tremble.
She was shaking violently, as she opened her quivering lips "But you claimed that you loved me! You went through with the wedding, Jack! You should have turned me down."
A snarl appeared on Jack's face "Why should I have turned you down when I could get something from you?? It's such a shame, dear Heiress of the Trevor's family that you fell for a guy like me. It's such a shame" he shook his head, a look of hatred on his face as he stared at Jasmine as if she was the most pathetic person in the planet.
Well, at the moment, she probably was.
Jasmine staggered backward, she started to realize everything, a small self-mocking smile formed on her lips, and she let out a shaky breath. Her eyes darted around the ground of the rooftop, finding it hard to come to terms with everything that was happening.
