Chapter 206 - Towards city X
Fire blazed through what was once their path. The only land bridge that connected the city to City S had been reduced to nothing but smoke and flame.
On either side, the river surged, deep and wide.
City A was completely surrounded by deep rivers, making it almost like an island. The only way in or out had been a single land bridge that connected it to City S. But now that the bridge had been destroyed in the bombing, they couldn’t escape that way anymore.
With no roads or bridges left, the group’s only option was to travel on foot through the entire city to reach the far side—where the ruins of an underground metro tunnel led beneath the river toward City X.
It was their only chance to get out before the city was wiped out completely.
Technically, they were trapped.
"We can’t leave through here," Yunfeng said quietly.
A heavy silence fell.
"yunfeng!!!" Hana came running with Yuki still clinging to her back as she threw herself at Yunfeng, hugging him tightly.
"Stupid brother!!! You’re alive!"
Yunfeng hugged her back, quickly scanning her for injuries. Her face had a few cuts and her legs too, but overall she was uninjured. "You’re scarred," he joked.
