Yunfeng’s fingers trembled as he traced over the screen, still processing what had just happened.
He could touch things.
His soul—his supposedly untouchable, non-corporeal self—had just moved a screen. The realization made his breath hitch. It meant... he could communicate.
His first instinct was to send a message. If he could just type something out, he could tell Hana, tell his parents—I’m here. I’m not gone.
Heart pounding, he tried to close the study screen and open a messaging app. But no matter how much he swiped, tapped, or tried to drag the menu down, nothing happened.
The study lock was on.
"Shit!"
Hana must have set her photon reader to study mode, meaning the only accessible content was textbooks. No messaging apps. No calls. Nothing except pages upon pages of school material.
Yunfeng clenched his fists. So close, yet still so far.
Frustrated, his gaze darted over the screen, scanning through the available books. Science, literature, physics—nothing useful. But then, one title caught his eye.
