Chapter 134 - Safe spot
Muchen could barely breathe. His long legs were cramped between the two girls, while his upper body was practically folded in half on top of Shao.
"Are we seriously going to that Amazon warehouse?" he muttered, shifting uncomfortably.
Shao, gritting his teeth, gave a short nod. "Less people, more space, plus sturdy gates. We’ll be able to hold on until reinforcements come to get us."
Muchen exhaled sharply, adjusting his position slightly, but Shao immediately let out a pained grunt.
"You need to lose weight," Shao mumbled, his voice strained.
Muchen’s eyebrow twitched. He reached down and pinched Shao’s cheek.
"Excuse me? Say that again?"
Shao let out a soft hiss of pain but refused to take back his words.
But before Muchen could retaliate further—
A whisper.
A faint, distant sound carried through the dark car.
