Chapter 100 - Chaotic calls
While things were chaotic on Yunfeng’s side, Jai was having a crisis of his own. He watched in disbelief as the whole house was being moved by soldiers, his mouth agape.
"What the hell is this...?" he muttered, quickly dialing Yunfeng’s number.
The phone rang for a moment before connecting.
"Jai," Yunfeng sighed softly on the other end.
"My family... it seems we’re moving," Jai whispered, shock evident in his voice.
"What?" His best friend sounded even more shocked than he was.
"Well, after you had that talk with my father, he seemed panicked. Now, he’s got the entire army’s families moving to that unpopular villa area you bought. It seems we’re moving too." He gulped nervously.
Suddenly, a shadow fell over him. Jai looked up to see his father, who seemed much sterner than before.
"Give me the phone," his father said in a low voice, taking it without hesitation.
Jai stared at him in disbelief.
"Kid, you’d better move your family as well. The situation doesn’t look good. It could happen anytime now," his father warned.
