Chapter 92 - Rejected
Yunfeng pressed his forehead against the cold glass of the window, staring at the chaos outside like it wasn’t even real. Hatred. He’d never been hated before, not like this. It felt... wrong, like someone had reached inside his chest and flipped everything upside down.
Then an egg came flying.
"Watch out!" Hana grabbed his arm and yanked him back.
The egg smashed right where he’d been standing, yolk dripping down the wall like a bad joke.
"Shit, these fans have lost it!" Hana darted to the window, slamming it shut. "You good?" She glanced back at him, but Yunfeng just stood there, frozen. Pale, blank-faced.
"Yunfeng?"
"Huh..." His voice came out quiet, shaky. "Why... why are they doing this? They... hate me?"
"They’re idiots, that’s why!" Hana’s voice cracked with frustration as she pulled him to sit down on the bed. "Don’t let it get to you. These are the kind of fans who think they own their idols. They want Muchen to stay single and lonely just so they can keep fantasizing about him. It’s stupid." She whipped out her phone, fingers flying as she typed furiously. "I’m sending a message in the fan group. They need to chill the hell out."
Yunfeng leaned over to look at her phone. All she sent was one simple line: Support your idol by supporting who they love.
