After their wild moment on the sofa, Muchen felt completely spent. His body went limp as he sank into the cushions, panting and staring up at the ceiling lights, his mind still buzzing from the experience. A rush of warmth crept up his cheeks, and he buried his face in his palm, thinking, "Wow, so that’s how it feels when you’re with someone you love. It’s... intense."
Yunfeng was still sprawled on top of him, pressing down with his weight. "What are you thinking?" he asked sleepily, brushing Muchen’s hand away from his face.
Muchen couldn’t take his eyes off Yunfeng’s innocent face, feeling his heart swell. "I love you. I love you so much."
But Yunfeng’s expression changed, turning serious. "No."
Muchen’s heart sank, and he froze for a second. "No? What do you mean no?"
"I love you the most," Yunfeng said, squeezing Muchen tightly. "No one can beat my love for you. I love you soooo much!" He giggled, shaking them both with excitement.
Muchen felt the tension in his chest ease instantly. "God, I thought you didn’t love me."
"How could I not?" Yunfeng said, looking at him like he was the best thing in the world. "You’re so... so handsome and smell so good." He leaned in and sniffed at Muchen’s neck like a little puppy.
Muchen laughed, a mix of amusement and disbelief washing over him. "I’m not wearing any perfume. What are you smelling?"
Most of the stuff he used didn’t even have a scent; he found those strong fragrances overwhelming. The only scent he loved was Yunfeng’s unique lemony perfume—it was a mix of musk and flowers that smelled amazing.
