Chapter 30 - He’s good
Lin Yunfeng washed his eyes and plopped onto his bed. All that crying left his eyes swollen like he was bitten by a bee. It was so hard to even open them properly. "Disadvantages of being Asian," he mumbled with a small chuckle.
Suddenly, the door banged open, and his sister barged in with her swollen eyes wide open.
’How is she even opening her eyes that big after all that crying?’ he sat up, looking at her curiously.
She pranced around like a pregnant hen and suddenly squatted on the ground, holding her phone close to her chest. "Oh god. Why did he have to suffer like this? Oh god, why? Why did you make him suffer?"
Yunfeng raised a brow. "Who are we even talking about here? Give me some context?"
"Muchen! My darling Muchen has led such a depressing life... why are people so mean to him?"
Yunfeng slightly froze. ’W-what? What about him? He’s a rich and haughty guy. In what way is he suffering?’
He scoffed softly, even when an assassin came after him for his life. The guy gave a crazy smile and drove the car down the flight of stairs. A person like that would never feel depressed, right? He would have just shaken it all off and casually smiled.
A pillow hit him smack on the face.
"How dare you? Just because he is rich doesn’t mean he is happy. Do you know how much he has suffered in his twenty-five years of life? He lost his parents, and then his aunt started to torment him for his inheritance. It was physical and mental torture!" she shouted, then ran out of the room.
"She’s finally lost it...."
