Chapter 55: Yang Ye is Generous
"As you all know," Yang Ye began, his voice clear and confident, "the Heaven Immortal Sect has ten major peaks, each with numerous minor peaks beneath them. However, the most common peak where new disciples begin their journey is Azure Sky Peak."
He paused, glancing across the crowd. "It’s where your foundations are built properly, before you either specialize in a major peak or continue your path there."
Some among the disciples exchanged looks, as if unsure whether that sounded impressive or not.
"But don’t look down on Azure Sky Peak," Yang Ye added, his voice firm. "It’s not called a major peak for nothing. It holds strength, heritage, and experience equal to any other."
Letting his words sink in, he asked, "So, who among you was recommended to Azure Sky Peak?"
More than thirty hands rose in response, drawing gasps and murmurs from the group.
Yang Ye simply nodded. "Don’t be surprised. It’s actually quite normal. Many of you may not have had proper guidance in your early cultivation journeys. Being recommended here, to a place that can shape you — is a stroke of good fortune."
Some of the disciples lowered their hands, their expressions shifting into pride. Others silently absorbed his words, reminded that luck, too, was a part of a cultivator’s rise.
"We’ll look around for a bit," he continued casually, "and then you’re free to go for the day."
The group visibly relaxed, some whispering to each other, others just stretching.
But then Yang Ye’s tone turned serious.
