Chapter 649: Home Dojo

Chapter 649: Home Dojo

Kiernan checked the room at the end of the very short hallway over on the second floor.

The dojo was tucked between two buildings—on the right side, there was an antique shop, and on the left side, there was a ramen restaurant—thus, there were only two windows.

The right window showed the small yard, and the left window showed the back alley. That back alley was tucked behind a tall building, blocking the view to the street.

“It’s empty.”

Kiernan said as he looked around the office room. It had been thoroughly cleaned and organized, leaving no trace of the previous occupant.

“Yeah. This wasn’t actually used by another dojo master, but it was a temporary law office, and therefore, they left all the training equipment, as they had no use for it.”

The realtor said, and then took him to check the two rooms. They were small, empty, and covered in a layer of dust.

There were also a bathroom with a toilet, and shower inside. There were some laundry baskets there as well.

“…This is all there is to show.” Updates are released by novelꜰire.net

The realtor said.

While perking up his ears, Kiernan listened to the cars honking and the sound of the pedestrians making sounds.

It really wasn’t as loud as one would expect.

Action Street was narrow, one-way, and lined with buildings on both sides. There really wasn’t any space for cars to go.

Thus, there were mostly pedestrians and cyclists on the street. It made the street rather peaceful.

This dojo wasn’t some five-star resort, but Kiernan actually liked it very much and already had ideas flowing through his mind about how he was going to make this place even better with a few changes.

“How much is this?”

Kiernan asked.

“51,500 gold coins is the down payment, and 10,000 gold coins is the rent for every month after that.”

The realtor said.

It was so expensive because this was a really good location, and Montrael was a city in a tier 1 country.

It wasn’t a place where the poor could just move in. The air was so rich and helpful for the martial soul that if it was cheap, everyone would be moving here.

While Kiernan had some delusion that he might actually be quite rich now, he crash-landed back on the reality.

As Martial King, he was actually really poor. It would be quite easy for him to become a millionaire if he put effort into that.

However, since he just finished his studies and managed to leave his six-month vacation from the Martial King Realm, this was his first attempt at making real money.

The dojos were very popular, and he was confident that he could make a significant profit, but that wasn’t going to happen any time soon.

It was a long process.

“I’ll take this.”

Kiernan said.

“Excellent. I’ll start with the paperwork, and I am certain that you can already start making this place yours later today!”

The realtor said with a delighted expression.

Click! Bang!

Kiernan entered his inn room and closed the door with a bang. He was trembling with excitement, as he already wanted to start making plans for his dojo.

“Kiernan?”

With a towel wrapped around her body, Aoi stepped out of the bathroom and looked at him with a curious expression.

She knew that she went to meet the government earlier today, but the meeting seemingly lasted longer than she expected.

They were the only ones still left in the inn room as Karma headed back to Irio, as he was going to meet Julian back there.

“Pack the things. We’re leaving.”

Kiernan said, went to his room, and started stuffing some clothes of his inside the sports bag.

“Is something wrong? Are we already leaving Montrael?”

Aoi asked hurriedly.

“No… I don’t think I will leave Montrael.”

Kiernan said with a chuckle, tossed the sports bag over his shoulder, and looked at her curiously looking at him.

“Then why are we packing things?”

She asked with a cute tilt of her head.

“We’re moving. I rented a place for us.”

Kiernan said.

“R-Really?”

She said with a surprised tone and then quickly went to put on some spare clothes while also packing her things.

While she didn’t mind inns, she very much enjoyed their place back in Rodero and was glad knowing that they were going to have a place to call home for a while.

After they finished packing, they turned off the lights and closed the door behind them, not planning to return to this inn.

“This is the place…?”

Aoi looked at the small, rundown building, with her mouth wide open, and could tell that it was a dojo, except there was no sign anywhere.

“Yes.”

Kiernan opened the iron gate for her, and after she entered the small yard, he followed behind her and shuffled down the gravel ground.

Aoi entered the dojo, dropped her bag to the ground, and looked around with wonder, feeling quite nostalgic.

It made her feel like she was back home in Dusk Town.

“How do you like it?”

Kiernan hugged her from behind warmly, put his chin on top of her shoulder, and looked at her cute face.

“I like it… It does need some work, but it really feels like a home, y’know.”

Aoi said with a smile, feeling warm in her stomach, like she was where she belonged.

“I am planning to open this dojo and teach everyone my Iron Style.”

Kiernan said.

“R-Really? You’re planning to become dojo master?”

She asked in surprise and looked at him, but then she saw his serious eyes and knew that he wasn’t doing this to be funny.

He was extremely serious about teaching his style to other people. It was his passion. Iron Style was his life.

“You will be a great teacher, I know it.”

Aoi said with a serious look and then tenderly pressed her soft lips against his.

With a chuckle, Kiernan smacked her gently on her buttocks and then walked to the storage room, as he was certain that he also saw some cleaning equipment.

“Let’s start with cleaning this place up, and then I’ll order some furniture. This place is not in condition to open.”

Kiernan said and tossed her a mop and broom. She enthusiastically nodded her head and started cleaning the bottom floor while he went to take care of the second floor.
