Chapter 334: The confrontation (Part – 1)
At Nicholas’s residence...
The study was dimly lit, only the desk lamp on the polished mahogany desk was on. Nicholas sat in his leather chair, checking some paperwork.
A knock at the door broke the silence, and Alex stepped in, a thick file in his hands. "The documents are ready," he announced, placing the file on the desk. "Please check it."
Nicholas reached forward, flipping open the folder. His sharp eyes skimmed over the legal documents. Finally, he was taking over the Baker Group.
His lips curled into a satisfied smirk. Years of patience, planning, and calculated vengeance had led to this moment.
"Mr. Baker wishes to see you before signing the documents," Alex informed.
Nicholas hummed softly. He had been expecting this. Elijah Baker, his so-called father, would want to face him one last time before surrendering everything.
He wanted to see him too—to look into the eyes of the man who had discarded him like trash and see the weight of his own downfall settle on his shoulders.
"Alright," he said, closing the folder. "Tell him I’ll be at the family mansion tonight for dinner."
Alex nodded and left.
Nicholas leaned back in his chair, an uncanny light flashing in his eyes. "Finally, I’ll set my foot in the family mansion."
