Chapter 319: Dylan’s care
Luke felt his hair rising on his back. He had thought he was in control, that everything had been perfectly orchestrated. But Alex had already discovered his plan to kill Nicholas.
Luke’s legs buckled beneath him as he stumbled onto the sofa. He feared that Nicholas would take everything from him—his father’s favor, the family’s legacy. That fear had festered, morphing into hatred so deep that he had schemed to eliminate Nicholas more than once.
When he heard Nicholas was having the transplant surgery, he thought it was his chance to eliminate him forever without raising doubts. He was successful in it, but he hadn’t expected his plan to be exposed.
"You can’t stay here anymore," Elijah said decisively. "You have to leave immediately."
Luke’s head snapped up, his pulse hammering. "Where are you sending me?"
"Far away," Elijah said, his tone devoid of warmth. "I’ll handle things here. When it’s safe, I’ll call you back. Until then, don’t contact me."
He dialed a number and commanded, "Come in and take him away."
The doors creaked open, and two towering men in black suits strode in.
"Dad," Luke panicked, sensing something odd. "Are you imprisoning me?"
Elijah didn’t respond. He merely lifted a hand and flicked his fingers in silent command.
The two men seized Luke by his arms and dragged him out.
