Chapter 295: The shocking revelation
At the mention of Erica’s name, Dylan’s expression darkened. His playful demeanor vanished, replaced by a storm of cold, simmering fury. His grip on the phone tightened slightly. "She deserves far worse than whatever Luke is planning."
He would punish her for sure, but he wanted to see what the Bakers would do to her.
"Even if she begs me, I won’t help her," he added fiercely. "I want to see her suffer."
"Let’s not spoil the mood by talking about her." Ava raised her glass, grinning. "It’s time for celebration. Finally, we defeated our enemies."
Dylan met her gaze, the tension in his expression melting away. He raised his own glass, a slow smile spreading across his lips. "Let’s celebrate."
They sipped their drinks and continued eating.
The sharp ring of Dylan’s phone shattered the calm. His brows furrowed as he glanced at the screen. A call from the hospital. Dylan’s expression turned serious.
"I need to take this call."
Pressing the green button, he brought the phone to his ear. "Hello?"
A female voice on the other end spoke urgently. "Mr. Brooks, the butler has woken up. But his condition is unstable. He wants to see you urgently."
"I’m coming," he said without hesitation. "Take care of him until I get there."
