My Ex-Husband Begged Me to Take Him Back

Chapter 213: There is nothing harmful in his system.

Justin stood frozen, sensing Dylan’s seething frustration. The tension in the room only intensified his nervousness. He had reviewed it all earlier, and the man’s face wasn’t visible anywhere—but couldn’t voice it out of fear.

Dylan’s eyes stayed glued to the screen. He rewound and replayed the footage, hoping for some clarity, but the distance and poor angle of the camera didn’t give any clue. He was disappointed.

"What is this nonsense?" Dylan barked. "Why is nothing clear?"

Justin opened his mouth to respond, but the words caught in his throat.

"Are there any cameras installed nearby?" Dylan asked, his tone teetering on the edge of losing all patience.

"Um, no..." Justin stuttered.

Dylan swore under his breath and tossed the tablet onto the central table with a sharp thud. "It’s her," he hissed, his expression darkened further as he gritted his teeth. "Erica is behind all of this. She hired that man and likely bribed the hotel staff to cover her tracks. She lied to my face—claiming she left me at the bar—but the footage tells a different story."

He jumped to his feet. "I’ll not spare her." He stormed toward the door.

"W-Where are you going?" Justin asked, anxious at the face of his fury.

"Where do you think?" Dylan shot back. "Of course, I am going to interrogate her. She won’t talk her way out of this. The footage is undeniable. She dropped me at the hotel, handed me to that man while I was unconscious, and then had the audacity to spin lies about it."

Snatching the tablet from the table, Dylan held it aloft. "This proof is all I need to pin her down."
