Chapter 205: Who sent you?
Dylan’s breaths came fast and shallow as his mind spiraled into chaos. The room felt like it was closing in on him as the faceless figure from his nightmare flashed in his thoughts. Beads of cold sweat clung to his skin.
"Don’t come any closer!" His voice cracked with a mix of fear and anger as he shoved the woman away. In a desperate attempt to escape, he rolled off the bed, landing on the hard floor with a thud. Pain shot through his side, but it brought a momentary clarity—he needed to get out of this place.
Scrambling to his feet, he stumbled toward the door, his legs wobbling beneath him. His vision blurred and sharpened in uneven waves, his fingers stretching desperately for the door handle.
"Dylan, wait." Gianna stepped in front of him. "You are not leaving."
Before he could react, she lunged at him, her arms wrapping around his neck in a forceful embrace. Her lips crashed against his in a heated, aggressive kiss.
Dylan recoiled, the suddenness of her action sending shockwaves through his body. He pushed at her shoulders, but she clung to him tighter.
A nauseating wave rolled through him, disgust and anger mingling in his gut. With every ounce of strength he could muster, he shoved her away, his unsteady legs giving way as he stumbled backward onto the bed.
The momentum sent Gianna flew backward, her body slamming into the wall with a sickening thud.
"Ah!" Gianna cried out, her hand flying to the back of her head as she slid to the floor. A sharp, searing pain radiated through her skull, leaving her momentarily paralyzed. When she pulled her hand away, the sight of red smudging her trembling fingers sent a cold shiver down her spine.
