Chapter 87: Unwanted argument (Part-2)
"What do you mean?" Gianna’s cheeks flushed a furious red. "Do you know who I am? You really think I can’t afford it?"
Ava stepped forward with a challenging demeanor. "What if I say yes?"
"You!" Gianna tightened her hold on her purse. "I’d love to prove you wrong." She pulled out a black card and handed it to the salesgirl standing by her side. "I’m buying it."
The salesgirl nodded with a gleeful smile. "Sure, ma’am," she said before turning and heading to the billing counter.
Gianna’s eyes flicked back to Ava, a smug grin playing at the corners of her lips. "Now, that set is officially mine," she said with triumph. "What will you say?"
Ava, unfazed, smirked back.
Lola, who had been silently watching the exchange, couldn’t hold back any longer. "Your wealth is nothing compared to Ava’s. You’re enjoying all this name, fame, and luxury because of Dylan. If he pulls back, you’ll be out on the street."
"I earn because of my talent," Gianna countered. "I am not dependent on Dylan."
"Talent?" Ava couldn’t help herself and let out a derisive laugh. "Yes, we can see how talented you are."
Before Gianna could reply to her, the salesgirl returned with a gloomy face. She hesitated for a moment, clearly uncomfortable as she spoke. "Madam, this card is not working. Do you have another card?"
Gianna’s hand trembled slightly as she snatched the card back from the salesgirl, her mind spinning in disbelief. ’How could it be possible?’ she thought, her pulse quickening. ’This card has no limit. It should work. Did Dylan block it? But why?’
