Chapter 63: The Confession (Part-1)
"Is it possible?" Ava asked, skeptical, yet hopeful.
"I’ll try." He offered her a reassuring smile as he carefully slipped the broken phone into his pocket. "Let’s get out of here."
Without wasting any more time, they hurried out of the alley and made their way to their cars. Ava’s urgency grew as they neared the street.
"We have to stop Gianna and Brian," Ava said urgently. "Let’s go to the cops."
But Nicholas shook his head. "Not yet..." His tone was measured. "First, I’ll recover whatever you recorded. Once we have solid evidence, then we’ll go to the police. And don’t worry about Gianna and Brian—they won’t be able to escape. I’ll find out everything about them and reach out to you soon. Now, go home. I’ll call you later."
After a brief exchange of goodbyes, they parted ways. Ava drove home, her mind swirling with thoughts of the danger she had narrowly escaped. Meanwhile, Nicholas headed straight to his office.
At Dylan’s office...
Justin handed him Gianna’s phone records and transaction details. "It’s shocking," he said, shaking his head. "She has been seeing this guy, Brian, for two years, and none of us had any idea. She lied to us. That day, she was with Brian at the Hotel Siera. But she pretended she was kidnapped and assaulted, just to frame Ava Madam. I can’t believe she could go to this length. How much hatred does she have in her heart?"
Dylan’s hands clenched around the file, knuckles pale against the paper. His disappointment felt sharp. He had believed Gianna was a victim of unfortunate circumstances. But these records painted a different picture – this entire incident was nothing but a well-thought plan to paint Ava as a villain.
