If that was that Zak wanted, then I was ready to support his decision. He was right, we have to correct the past so that we can finally and truly move on.
“Thank you, Zak,” I replied, and I found myself smiling amidst my tears.
It felt like the weight of the world was no longer on my shoulders and I can finally be free. Till the very end, Zak truly stood by my side and helped me.
“I’m sorry my present wasn’t a very impressive one but congratulations on your wedding, Natalia. You finally did it,” Zak congratulated me before he started laughing with joy.
“Thank you...so much...” I thanked him again as tears blurred my eyes once more.
I couldn’t thank him enough for all the things that he’s done and is still doing for me. There is nothing that I can do to ever repay him enough for his love and kindness.
“Take care of each other. Be as happy as you can possibly be, ok?” Zak said brightly.
“Ok...” I replied firmly.
“Stop crying now. The future will be bright and happy for you. I personally guarantee it, ok?” Zak said cheerfully.
