Chapter 459: Reiner – Silencing Me
Reiner’s blue eyes narrowed dangerously at me, and I quickly realized that I had angered him even if that wasn’t what I wanted. Although I knew that I was being very stubborn about this, I just couldn’t find it in me to back down about this. I worked there before and it was all fine then just because I got married, I can’t do any of that anymore?
Reiner approached me and I took a step back before I realized that I didn’t have any room to back away to anymore. My ass pressed up against the hard edge of my table and Reiner was standing right in front of me. I tried to lean and look away, but his large hand grabbed my arm and forced me to look back at him. The look on his face was stern and it made me feel uncomfortable and suddenly very nervous.
“You don’t understand, Natalia. You can’t go back there anymore. You can’t work there anymore. It doesn’t matter whether they’ve found someone to replace you. You’re not allowed to go because I won’t let you go,” Reiner stated loud and clear.
Although he wasn’t yelling at me, he might as well have. His words and the way he said it didn’t sit well with me.
“What is wrong with you? Why are you so mad?!” I asked, raising my voice in the process as my emotions started taking over.
“Why won’t you listen? I just told you that you’re not allowed to go so why do you insist on going?” he asked as if he too failed to understand me.
“The people at the bar need my help...so I was just...” I tried to explain once again.
“You can’t go there. How many times do I need to say it for you to understand?” Reiner repeated his stance firmly as he also raised his voice at me.
I blinked rapidly at him in my utter disbelief. Did he just yell at me?
Tell me that this isn’t happening.
“Don’t shout at me. Why are you shouting at me? I haven’t done anything...” I shouted back as my brows drew together in a deep frown.
“If you listen to me then I don’t have to raise my voice like this, but you just won’t listen,” Reiner retorted as his hand tightened on my arm.
