An Nuan heaved softly as she heard the hint of worry in her mother’s voice.
She quickly reminded herself to calm down so that her mother would not notice her anxiety. "Mom, I’m fine. I’m staying at home and have not gone out. Xiao Feng mentioned the upcoming storm and reminded me to stay home."
Shi Xi was relieved to hear that her daughter was in a safe place.
Y City and Capital City were far apart.
The storm was coming to Capital City but Y City was far away and safe from it.
An Nuan spent a long time assuring her mother that she would be fine. However, she did not mention to her mother that Lin Xiao Feng was away. An Nuan did not want the elders to worry.
An Nuan was listening to her mother’s reminder when she noticed an incoming call.
Seeing Lin Xiao Feng’s name, An Nuan quickly found an excuse to end the phone call with her mother to answer Lin Xiao Feng’s call.
"Lin Xiao Feng?" An Nuan’s voice was anxious.
"Nuan Nuan." Lin Xiao Feng heaved in relief when he finally heard his wife’s voice. He was worried when An Nuan did not pick up his phone call as early as usual. Lin Xiao Feng had thought that something had happened to his wife. "Are you alright? Have you returned home?"
"I’m fine. I reached home a while ago," An Nuan said. "Just now, I was talking to my mom. She heard about the incoming storm and was worried."
