Chapter 291: Wasn’t That Her Husband?
Lu Zheng walked An Nuan to her car before heading upstairs to find his boss again.
As he walked into the office, Lu Zheng noted that Lin Xiao Feng was busy tidying up a few documents on the table. Noticing his presence, Lin Xiao Feng looked up.
"Mr. Lin, your wife left."
Lin Xiao Feng nodded. "Thank you." With a smile on his face, Lin Xiao Feng lowered his head again as he sorted out the documents he needed for the meeting.
A while later, Lin Xiao Feng realized that his assistant had not left. He looked up with a puzzled look on his face. "What is it? You have something to say to me?"
Lu Zheng hesitated. Then, he closed the door behind him and walked closer to his boss.
"What’s the matter?" Lin Xiao Feng stood up straight. He could tell by Lu Zheng’s expression that something was off. His heart was beating fast at the thought that something had happened to his wife. "Something happened to my wife?"
Assistant Lu shook his head. "It’s not that." He figured that if he did not say something quickly, his boss would only worry. "It’s about Secretary Shi."
Lin Xiao Feng was relieved to know that his wife was alright. But his expression began to change again when he heard his assistant mentioning his secretary. "Secretary Shi? What’s wrong with her?"
"I saw her talking to Madam when she arrived earlier," Assistant Lu said. "Mr. Lin, Secretary Shi was trying to prevent your wife from coming to see you earlier."
"What?" Lin Xiao Feng’s expression turned darker.
