Chapter 269: It Hurts
"I thought you left me here alone."
Lin Xiao Feng was startled to hear An Nuan’s words. He wondered if his wife cried because she could not find him in the room. Lin Xiao Feng could not describe his feelings right now. He imagined An Nuan liked him so much that she could not bear to part from him.
But there was also a possibility that his wife was drunk.
"I was trying to look for you," An Nuan continued. "It was too dark and I could not see anything. Then, I accidentally kicked the table. Lin Xiao Feng." An Nuan sniffled as she looked at the person in front of her. "It hurts. My little toe hurts." She pointed at her toe.
Lin Xiao Feng’s feelings were a bit complicated. He thought that his wife cried because of him. It turned out that it was because she was in pain.
"Why are you so careless?" Lin Xiao Feng leaned closer to check at his wife’s toe. He could not see if his wife was injured but Lin Xiao Feng was still worried.
With one swift move, Lin Xiao Feng carried An Nuan into his arms. He placed An Nuan on the bed before crouching down on one knee to look at An Nuan’s toe.
An Nuan looked at Lin Xiao Feng and thought that their posture made it seem as if Lin Xiao Feng was kneeling in front of her.
"Does it still hurt?" Lin Xiao Feng asked. He massaged An Nuan’s toe lightly. He was worried that An Nuan would be in pain again.
