Chapter 223: He Wondered if He was Mistaken
After having their lunch at a nearby restaurant, the couple decided to walk along the market while heading towards the dock.
There was quite a lot of fresh produce sold at the market. An Nuan had to admit that the fruits in D Town tasted juicier and sweeter. Their specialties were their cherries but An Nuan thought that the other fruits and vegetables tasted as good.
The locals were quite generous with their samples.
Each time someone offered An Nuan a sample, she would not be shy about trying it.
An Nuan was tasting the tartlets the seller had offered her when she caught Lin Xiao Feng looking at her. Something about the way Lin Xiao Feng was looking at her was a bit strange.
Her gaze shifted to the tartlets in her hand. Then, An Nuan waved the tartlets in her hand before Lin Xiao Feng. "Lin Xiao Feng, you want one?"
Her voice snapped Lin Xiao Feng out of his trance. He looked at the pastry in An Nuan’s hand and the corner of his lips started to twitch.
Lin Xiao Feng was aware that he had been staring at An Nuan. However, he did not expect that An Nuan would think that he was eying the tartlets in her hand.
He quickly composes himself before leaning over to eat the tartlets from An Nuan’s hand.
An Nuan pulled her hand away as Lin Xiao Feng’s lips touched her finger. "You..." Her brow furrowed. "Lin Xiao Feng, you should stop this habit of eating food straight from my hand."
"What’s wrong with it?" Lin Xiao Feng looked as if he did not understand what he had done wrong. "Weren’t you offering that pastry to me?"
