"An Nuan?"
Lin Xiao Feng’s voice made An Nuan look up. Seeing Lin Xiao Feng staring back at her made An Nuan wonder how long she had been staring into space. It seemed that Secretary Shi had left the room.
"What are you thinking about?" Lin Xiao Feng asked. The corner of his lips tilted up to a smile.
While focusing on the documents on his desk, Lin Xiao Feng kept his eyes on An Nuan. Earlier, Lin Xiao Feng saw An Nuan playing with her phone. Her expression was interesting to look at.
One minute, An Nuan looked as if she was facing a world crisis. Another minute, she was staring at her phone with a dazed look on her face. It made him wonder just who An Nuan was chatting to.
Seeing that she was too focused on her phone, Lin Xiao Feng decided not to ask. But now, it seems that An Nuan has been staring into space for too long. He was beginning to worry.
An Nuan looked embarrassed. "It’s nothing."
"I’m sorry," Lin Xiao Feng said. "Just give me ten more minutes. Then, we can leave. I’ll treat you to a good meal." He wondered if An Nuan was bored waiting for him. A while ago, he told An Nuan that he would not take too long to finish his work.
But Secretary Shi came over a while ago and he needed to look at a few more documents before he could go back.
This was the first time An Nuan came over to pick him up. Lin Xiao Feng felt bad letting An Nuan wait for him. He planned to take her to a good restaurant as his apology.
An Nuan shook her head. "No. Just take your time. I don’t mind waiting." She picked up the cup of tea that Assistant Lu prepared earlier and took a sip. Her brow furrowed upon noticing that the tea had turned colder.
