An Nuan was finally able to calm down, knowing that the creature she saw earlier was not any ghost or monster. She was just too frightened after watching the movie with Han Yue Xiu and started to overthink.

Now that she was calmer, An Nuan was too embarrassed to face Lin Xiao Feng.

She wondered what he might think of her after everything.

"An Nuan..."

An Nuan raised her head when she heard Lin Xiao Feng’s voice.

"It’s getting late. You should go to bed now," Lin Xiao Feng said. "The cockroach is gone. You don’t have anything to be afraid of." He paused briefly as a thought came to his mind. "Tomorrow, I will call the pest control to look around."

"Mhm..." An Nuan nodded. She did not dare to meet Lin Xiao Feng’s eyes for too long as she was still embarrassed.

Lin Xiao Feng heaved a sigh. There was a hint of helplessness in his smile. "Then, I will get going first." He reached to pat her head softly."An Nuan, good night." Lin Xiao Feng turned around to leave. However, his movement halted again when he felt a tugging on his shirt. He turned again only to see An Nuan holding the corner of his shirt. His brow furrowed. "An Nuan?"

An Nuan slowly looked up to meet Lin Xiao Feng’s eyes. Her lips moved to say something. But in the end, she did not know what she should say.

"What’s wrong?" Lin Xiao Feng asked. His brow furrowed as he looked at his wife. "An Nuan, are you okay?"

An Nuan did not want to tell Lin Xiao Feng she was afraid. However, she also knew that if she continued to remain silent, Lin Xiao Feng would leave.
