Lin Xiao Feng took the bottle of pet odor deodorizer from his cart and wondered if he should put it back where he found it. He looked at An Nuan again and flashed her an awkward smile. "I can tell you the truth. But An Nuan, don’t be angry, alright?"
An Nuan was surprised that Lin Xiao Feng would think she would get angry. "Why would I be angry?" She inhaled a deep breath and sighed. "I won’t be angry."
Lin Xiao Feng touched the tip of his nose and cleared his throat. "To tell you the truth, I don’t have anything I urgently need. An Nuan, I just wanted to come here and spend time with you."
An Nuan already guessed that Lin Xiao Feng’s reason for coming into the grocery store should be because of her.
It was still surprising to hear Lin Xiao Feng saying them out loud.
There was a long silence between them.
The couple stared at each other, both with their own thoughts.
It was only when someone walked into the aisle to grab something on the shelf did An Nuan and Lin Xiao Feng snapped out of their thoughts.
Lin Xiao Feng looked at the cooking oil on the shelf again as if he could not decide between two different brands.
Once the other shopper had moved to another aisle, Lin Xiao Feng turned to An Nuan again. "An Nuan."
Their gazes met and An Nuan could feel her heartbeat gradually accelerating.
