Chapter 123: Tell Our Parents
In the evening, An Nuan and her parents showed up at Lin’s residence.
Lin Xiao Feng halted when he saw An Nuan chatting happily with his mother. He stood at the entrance for a long time to watch them.
As if noticing that someone was watching her, An Nuan raised her head and met Lin Xiao Feng’s gaze.
Shi Xi and Song Luan followed An Nuan’s line of gaze when they noticed her silence. A trace of surprise appeared on their faces when they saw Lin Xiao Feng. Then, the two women exchanged a glance and a knowing smile.
"Mom," Lin Xiao Feng greeted his mother-in-law before turning to his mother. "Mom, where’s my dad?"
"Your dad should be in the office. Just now, he invited your father-in-law to his study to chat about some business matter."
"I should go and look for them," Lin Xiao Feng said. His gaze fell on An Nuan again.
He wanted to stay with An Nuan but Lin Xiao Feng thought that it would be awkward to stay with the woman. He would not be able to join in their conversation.
"That’s good," Shi Xi said. "Xiao Feng, you should go and call them. Dinner should be ready in a while."
"Mhm. I know." Lin Xiao Feng glanced at An Nuan for one more time before he turned around and left. He was about to head upstairs again when he heard the sound of footsteps behind him.
He stopped on his track and turned around only to find An Nuan walking over.
