Chapter 104: Mayor Jiang’s Invitation
An Nuan and Ren Di greeted Mayor Jiang and his wife before exchanging a few words.
Of course, Mayor Jiang and his wife’s attention was on An Nuan who stood beside Lin Xiao Feng.
"I was surprised when this kid announced he was married last night," Mayor Jiang said. His eyes trailed on An Nuan. "I told him to bring his wife home so that I can take a look at her. But this kid always came up with many reasons."
An Nuan glanced at Lin Xiao Feng.
She had never heard Lin Xiao Feng mentioning the mayor’s invitation.
"Mayor Jiang, it’s not that I didn’t want to bring my wife to see you and your wife," Lin Xiao Feng said. "But she still has a few matters to resolve in Y City."
An Nuan flashed an apologetic smile to the mayor and his wife. She let out a breath of relief as Lin Xiao Feng quickly came up with an excuse for her.
"Has it been resolved?" Mayor Jiang asked, seeing that she had appeared beside Lin Xiao Feng.
"There are still a few matters left." Lin Xiao Feng tightened his grip on An Nuan’s hand before turning to her with a smile. "This time, my wife is visiting Capital City for a few days. She will be returning to Y City soon."
"You both are a newly wedded couple. How can you bear being apart from each other for too long?" Mayor Jiang heaved a sigh. "When I married my wife, I was unwilling to leave her side for a few months. As a newlywed couple, aren’t you still in your honeymoon period?"
Madam Jiang poked her husband on his arm. "Why are you saying all this? Don’t make a joke in front of the young couple. You have thick skin but I don’t."
