Chapter 52: Video Call
Fearing that An Nuan would encounter Sun Jiao again, Ren Di decided to head home. After all, she already got the dessert she wanted to buy.
Ren Di stayed at An Nuan’s place for a while to accompany her friend to chat and leave after having dinner with her family.
Once her friend left, An Nuan finally heaved a breath of relief. An Nuan was a bit worried that Ren Di might mention that she had run into Sun Jiao to her mother. She did not want her mother to worry. It was best if they did not know anything.
An Nuan returned to her room once she had sent her friend off.
She planned to take a shower when her phone on her table rang.
A look of surprise appeared on her face when An Nuan saw Lin Xiao Feng’s name. It was a video call.
The two of them might be a married couple. However, the number of times they would call each other was very limited.
An Nuan hesitated for a while, thinking of the reason Lin Xiao Feng was calling her. Then, she remembered running into Sun Ming Yuan at the mall earlier and wondered if the man had said anything.
Taking a deep breath, An Nuan swiped her finger against the screen, and soon, Lin Xiao Feng’s face appeared on her screen.
Her eyes widened in surprise.
An Nuan was not expecting to see Lin Xiao Feng’s face this close to her phone.
