Chapter 46: A Long-Distance Relationship
Lin Xiao Feng smiled as he handed the paper bag full of wedding candies to the mayor. "Mayor Jiang. This is for you."
The man with the salt and pepper hair peeked into the paper bag. A trace of surprise appeared on his face when he saw what was inside the paper bag.
Mayor Jiang took out a box and shook it. The light in his eyes flickered as he looked at Lin Xiao Feng again. "You really got married?"
"That’s right." Lin Xiao Feng nodded. "It was a couple of weeks ago."
"Your grandfather did not say anything the last time we spoke," Mayor Jiang complained.
Lin Xiao Feng merely smiled.
Of course, his grandfather would not be able to say anything to the mayor. After all, he notified his grandfather a few minutes before he watched An Nuan walk down the aisle.
"You weren’t in your office for two weeks because of this?" Mayor Jiang frowned as he recalled an important matter. "Will I be getting an invitation to your wedding banquet soon? No. I am considered one of your mentors. I should get an invitation, right?"
Lin Xiao Feng chuckled. "Mayor Jiang. I will definitely send you an invitation once we decide on a date."
The mayor was more at ease as he heard Lin Xiao Feng’s words. He opened the box, picked up a piece of candy, and popped it into his mouth. "Come to my house this weekend and bring your wife with you. I want to get to know the person who managed to make you decide to end your singlehood."
"Mmm... Maybe next time. My wife is still in Y City."
