Chapter 533: Who would have thought that medical treatment could be enjoyable?
Neel came just when the servants told us dinner would be ready soon, so we decided to call Izzy and eat first.
Dinner was nice, filled with the conversation about the mana transfusion stuff between three people while I and Natha listening blankly. Well...I was the one who listened blankly; Natha could somewhat follow what they said and gave me some enlightenment from time to time.
Oh, whatever. I decided to just eat well and receive the treatment well later, like the good patient that I was. Mm.
[Good, good! Papa eat well!]
Look, even my little bird praised me. I patted the green head and fed Jade some more cocoa jelly that Natha generously allowed that night. This stingy husband of mine even allowed the little bird to sleep with us tonight. Was it a gift for being such a sweet child?
Or was it because we were already doing it earlier anyway?
"The kid will probably get busy training after this, so I give some lat-minute consolation," was what Natha told me when we were changing before bed that night.
Izzy and Neel had retreated to the nursery, and Zia volunteered herself to be an assistant--although I had a feeling she just wanted to keep an eye on her boyfriend. D’Ara would check on the inventors’ progress from time to time, and had agreed to give Jade some pointer in between.
Suddenly, I was reminded of the time Jade spending time away last time, before the little bird revealed its hard-earned transformation ability. I wondered what Jade would show as a result this time; the power-up was of little concern to me, but it was always fun thinking about how your child would grow.
Oh, but...
"I don’t really want Jade to grow more..." I pursed my lips, letting out a sentiment that I could only say because Jade wasn’t there. "I want Jade to stay cute..."
