Chapter 529: It’s been a while (M)
"Is it really okay for you to not go anywhere?" I looked up at Natha while splashing the water around us.
After generously washing me in the shower, there was no way I wouldn’t invite Natha to the tub. It was easy to see that he needed some relaxation as much as I--if not more--so I demanded he join me in the bathtub.
Certainly not because laying against his chest felt better than leaning against the hard tub.
Anyway...
"You’re asking this now after demanding I stay?" he raised his brow and flicked my nose.
"Uhh..." I rubbed my nose while grinning sheepishly. It seemed like my greedy button couldn’t stay on all the time. "I mean...now that I think about it, the situation in Wrath must not be good, right?"
The fact that the Lord got poisoned meant there was also a spy in Wrath, right? They needed to time it right with when Natha planned to get back and everything. Wouldn’t it mean they need to fight two kinds of enemies at once? Now that I felt more relaxed and at ease, I could see the bigger picture better.
"It’s fine," Natha pulled me closer and stroked the mark on my ring finger. "You and Shwa are my utmost priority."
True to his words, Arta told me earlier that Natha had upgraded the security in the forest and around the shed. More guards were placed around the lake too. He even recalled most of his agents in the other realms to focus on solving this matter. It was almost as if he didn’t care about anything else, even the war.
But wasn’t the war also correlated highly with our security?
"I had given my seal to Eruha and Lesta, so they should be able to do something," he said.
