The Demon Lord's Bride (BL)

Chapter 506: Renovation is fun if you have lots of funds

"I’m sorry, sweetheart...even though I said this is my part," Natha stroked my face with a face full of guilt and regret.

But I shook my head readily. "Mm-mm, it’s fine," I hugged his neck and kissed him goodbye. "Protecting our child is also your part."

He kissed me once again afterward, before going out with Caba and Lesta. Again. It seemed like making sure the Wrath wouldn’t get pushed back couldn’t be done by relaxing in the Lord Castle with me while designing our future nursery.

Oh, well--this one I didn’t really mind. At the end of the day, Natha would just agree with anything I said or wanted about the nursery anyway. All I needed to do was discussing it with Arta and Aunt Nezja. Zia also pinched in some ideas when he came over from time to time, although she spent most of her time in the research tower.

Heh. To think she was once crying to me because she had no idea what to do with the feeling of having a first crush.

"Let’s use bright colors, Young Master! Whether it’s a boy or girl, bright colors are always great for a child’s development!" Arta said while slamming a stack of large folders on the table.

Ah, we were choosing wallpapers this time.

Looking at her sparkling eyes and those big folders, I couldn’t help but recall the days of my wedding preparation days. Especially those days of choosing fabrics for the outfits and flowers for the decorations.

I glanced at Aunt Nezja and she nodded wordlessly while having her tea and reading her book. Alright, that was an agreement. At this kind of thing, she only spoke when she did not agree on something--which was half better than Angwi.

Talking about Angwi...Zia said our head maid would visit soon so a nursery could be built in the Lair too.

Well...that was nice, actually. I reckoned I would take Shwa back and forth between the Castle and the Lair--and who knew if Natha would keep being the Lord for that long. The only reason he kept his job after he found me was because he couldn’t trust anyone with the job, and unfortunately, since we still had to live here--considering our Lair was still part of the realm of Greed--we couldn’t just let the place became unconducive for Shwa’s future.
