Chapter 499: Amusement Park should be crowded and a bit annoying
In the end, I did get rather tired before we managed to try every ride.
But true to his words, Natha carried me as we went around the aquarium. This one was a proper aquarium, with several chambers containing different kinds of species, educational programs, and a tunnel filled with fish swimming over our heads.
Jade almost hit its head on the ceiling to chase the fish.
The sky was almost dark when we finished playing. There were still rides I wanted to ride again, but I was getting sleepy, and the park had just opened, so it wasn’t really prepared to operate until dark. Jade also became drowsy from too much excitement and in the end, we decided to call it a day and I put my little bird in Panne’s hand.
Still, I was left satisfied; it was every bit what I dreamt of, and more.
"Ah, it was so much fun..." I sighed in satisfaction and laid my head on Natha’s shoulder. We were back on our carriage, and I liked that we took the time to slowly go back rather than using teleport. "I want to ride the Wyvern Lurch again, and try the racing mount!"
"You can go back tomorrow if you want," Natha said while fixing my hair, which had probably become so unruly after all those rides and excitement.
I stared at his face; so handsome and soft. I realized then that I had been missing this relaxed, happy face of his too. He had been busy for the past few weeks preparing this for me, and while we were always together at night, most of it was spent sleeping.
"Thank you," I ran my fingers on his face, mapping it. "This is the best birthday gift ever."
"That’s not true," he said, adding when I looked at him confusedly. "I’m going to make your next birthday even better, and then the next, and the next--"
I laughed and clasped his mouth. "I don’t think that’s going to be easy."
