Chapter 487: The Flower Bloomed Beneath the Moonlight
Valen was nervous before, but he was strangely calm now.
He fell in love with the moonlight inside his husband’s eyes, and bathed in the moonlight like this just made him feel like he was drowned in Natha’s eyes. The fog and the reflection of the moon turned the small lake into a silver pool, as if the night couldn’t be more magical.
And if it wasn’t enough to take his mind off things, he just needed to look into the moonlight in his husband’s eyes; the moonlight that had always drowned him in the love and affection he always craved all his life; the moonlight that never failed to make him feel like he was the most treasured person in the world.
The moonlight sucked him into a world where there was nothing but them. Nothing but the cold skin he felt little by little as he shed his husband’s clothes piece by piece. He was feasting upon the beautiful, intricate patterns almost identical to those he felt on the surface of the black flower seed. Valen couldn’t help but lean forward and press his lips along those patterns, savoring the texture and coldness.
Through the kiss, Valen could feel the demon’s racing heartbeat, which reminded him of their wedding day. He lifted his head and drowned himself in the moonlight gaze, fingers curled up between dark locks.
"Are you nervous?" his whisper sounded like a roar in that empty space.
"Yes," the demon replied without pretense, stroking Valen’s waist. The silver eyes looked at the man with yearning. "Would you give me a kiss, please?"
It was a request that Valen would grant even without any request. The kiss was still soft, more to reassure their wildly beating heart than anything, as if they tried to find peace within the crease of their nibbling lips.
Slowly, with more gentleness than he ever showed, Natha led Valen down, back against the wet roots. With his large hand as a pillow for Valen’s head, the demon continued the kiss, just a tad bit deeper, as he worked to undress the man with his other hand. Letting their clothes float and disappear within the creeping fog, he climbed onto the small island and hovered above the lovely sight of his husband.
Stroking the fair cheek gently, Natha asked in a whisper. "Are you ready?"
A streak of flush filled the skin beneath the demon’s thumb as Valen remembered the long bath he spent before coming to the spot; the careful preparation he did so he could welcome Natha right away inside him.
