Chapter 306: We don’t need to be the same species to be families
When Irra came back, she stared dumbfoundedly at the little boy I just finished putting clothes in.
"..." she parted her lips for a long time, before realizing she was being impolite and covered her mouth.
"This is Jade," I introduce my little boy who was no longer a little bird.
"This is Jade!"
As usual, Jade introduced himself energetically and proudly. This time, I gave him a red coat with a hood, and Ignis crawled inside the hood to perch above Jade’s green hair.
"The...the elemental bird?" Irra asked with a soft gasp.
"Yes!" Jade replied with a jump, feeling happy about going around the city with me in this new form.
Also, I bet Jade was happy at Irra’s astonished reaction. The little bird had a penchant for surprising people, after all.
"You’re ready?" Natha came from behind and stroked my shoulder.
We’d be going together until the merchant guild, where Natha would make an impromptu inspection whilst I go around gallivanting around the city. Of course, Natha’s main business was buying those fish and transporting them to the land of Greed.
"Nightmare, Nightmare will buy fishes for Master?" Jade, standing on the couch so he could get higher, tugged on Natha’s sleeve.
