Chapter 266: Of course, a Sacred Guardian’s abode should be special
Of course, Natha knew how to ride a wyvern. Why wouldn’t he? He’s Natha.
But even if he couldn’t, it was alright, because we didn’t need to control Vrida. All I needed to do was ask her to take us to our destination, and voila! I might not be able to have a full conversation with her like a true druid, but there was enough bloodline inside me to make sure I could communicate with her well.
"I wouldn’t say I’m surprised, but well...you really are a druid," the Vampire Lord commented as Natha lifted me up and put me on Vrida’s back.
It was already fitted with a comfortable padded saddle lined with fur for that extra fluffiness, and I already made sure Vrida wasn’t uncomfortable with the saddle. Thankfully, it was made of high-quality materials with care and tailored to her size.
"Well, it’s also because Vrida is such a good girl," I patted the side of the wyvern’s neck, and she let out another deep purr in response. See? A very good girl!
"That’s not what I heard from her tamer, but what do I know," the Vampire Lord shrugged and suddenly threw something at me.
A small box, even smaller than a ring box. As I opened it in wonder, there was a small deep red sphere inside. Or rather...was it a pill?
"An engagement gift," she curled her lips, probably because Natha was making a surprised face, and put his hand over the box to close it as if he didn’t want the content to be spoiled. He looked at the Vampire Lord seriously, which prompted Sada to sneer. "It’s not for you, it’s for Valen, because I like him more than I like you."
"In just three days?"
"Isn’t he a charming one? You must have been so dizzy making sure he’s not getting snatched by others," she laughed merrily at the way Natha clicked his tongue.
"Excuse me--I’m still here, you know," I sighed while carefully placing the box inside my storage ring. "Thank you, Sada."
