The Demon Lord's Bride (BL)

Chapter 206: Make sure to leave your child to a trustworthy babysitter while having your honeymoon

"They’re not going to come out today too, huh?" Opti looked in the direction of the bedroom gallery after they had their breakfast.

The last time they saw the Lord and his pretty bride was during two dinners ago. A whole day had passed and now, as they flew across the rich southern plateau toward the volcanic mountain range, the couple still hadn’t emerged from their bedroom. The servants and Panne, who went there yesterday morning to deliver their Master’s morning drink, found the door--and the whole bedroom itself--clad in isolation barrier.

Well, no need for a genius to know what was going on inside.

"It’s not a rut, right?" Caba asked worriedly; whether he was worried about the Lord or the human-druid, no one knew.

"There’ll be a whole different kind of barriers if that’s the case," Lesta shook his head, before adding with a smirk. "I don’t think they’ll move at all until we reached the volcano."

"Wild," Opti chuckled. "What would happen during their real honeymoon if it’s like this already?"

That remark put the vassals in a sudden silence as they ponder this matter.

"You know...despite calling Young Master his bride, His Lordship never mentioned any wedding plan," Lesta, who was the one accompanying the Lord the most among the vassals, told them with a slight frown. "It wasn’t like him to never prepared for this thing, even if it only happens in the far future."

"Hmm..." Opti leaned back in his chair until the legs of it lifted off the floor, taking advantage of their Lord’s absence to be a bit playful. "Somehow, they’ve been acting like a newly formed couple these past few weeks, don’t you think?"

It was surprising enough when their Lord suddenly told them about taking the Priest of Judgment as his bride. They had steeled themselves to face harsh backlash, confusing themselves about how to face this human. Some of them had been working behind the scene by the Lord’s order to make everything conducive for the human’s arrival; from security measures to public propaganda.

But nothing--nothing prepared them to see their Lord’s eyes filled with so much love and affection, worry and rage. Their cold, calm, unfazed Lord was now pampering his bride non-stop. If they were together, the Lord’s gaze would never leave the human. If his hands were idle, they would almost always touch the human; holding the fair hand, on the small waist, across the shoulder, through the dark, long hair. He wouldn’t touch his meal until he made sure the human ate. He wouldn’t touch his glass until he made sure the human drank. His attention would always be, first and foremost, toward his lovely bride.
