The Demon Lord's Bride (BL)

Chapter 141: So you think priests can only pray?

This time, we were not meeting in a special room, or special pavilion, or a special dining room.

We met at the Lord’s private reception room--the room with the door leading to the Lord’s Court Hall that I went through the first time. And it wasn’t the whole Lust delegation, but only Aleena and the Lord of Lust. I didn’t count Zia as a part of them, because she was essentially a Realm of Greed’s dweller.

But she was there for support--to support her brother or to support her friend, I didn’t really know. For now, she held onto Jade to make sure the little bird was calm and censored from any...brutality that might ensue.

Well...I got calmer, so there might be no brutality at all.

But that would depend on how this piece of Incubus explained himself. And it better be something other than "Oh, it’s just a prank because I like to make pranks, oops? Tehee!" kind of reason. I swore to whatever God watching over this realm that I would smite him just like Valmeier did to the former Lord of Wrath.

And from the vibe I got right now...I kind of feel like I might end up smiting him for real.

None of us was seating, despite it being a reception area with lavish velvet sofas waiting to be invaded. But Natha didn’t feel like sitting, so none of us did too--since he was the Lord and all--and I had this feeling that he didn’t want to give this Incubus a chance to be nice and comfortable.

And in this setting, a room where there were only me, my familiar, two succubi, and two Lords, the Incubus was standing casually; eyes darting everywhere but at me and Natha, arms behind his back like he was merely there for sightseeing, and clearly no semblance of remorse. Aleena was standing closely behind him, probably to make sure he didn’t do anything stupid anymore.

It was...annoying, to say the least. I got it now why Aleena said she gave up. Even now, she looked like she wanted to punish the Lord herself.

Maybe later, girl, it’s my time now.

I narrowed my eyes at him, thinking about how to garner his attention to this mini-trial. But God...it was so annoying. Shouldn’t he be the one who had the utmost attention, here? Didn’t he realize he just jeopardized the realm’s peace?
