"Urghh..." I groaned softly, shifting in my seat as I tried to find a comfortable position. The stinging pain from Kara’s touch flared up, making it difficult to settle. I winced, adjusting my posture, but it was no use.
"Remi?" Suddenly, someone tapped on my shoulder, right where the wound was still fresh.
"Aack!" I winced, jolting awake as a sharp pain shot through me.
My fist automatically flew towards the person, but they quickly caught it, stopping me mid-swing.
When I finally opened my eyes, I saw Cypher looking at me, his expression a mix of concern and curiosity. "Is something wrong?"
"No, everything’s fine," I said, trying to pull my hand away, but he wouldn’t let go. "Umm... Cypher?"
"I’m just curious. You seemed in pain when I patted your shoulder. Were you hurt?" Cypher asked, his grip firm yet gentle.
"N-No?" I laughed nervously, hoping to brush it off. "It’s probably your imagination."
Just as Cypher was about to sit next to me, Angela appeared out of nowhere, her energy filling the space. "Yo~ Remillia!" she exclaimed, deliberately pushing Cypher away and letting my hand go.
"What’s up?" I said, subtly moving my injured arm away from them, hoping to avoid any further questions.
"Don’t tell me you didn’t read the group chat again?" Angela said, raising her eyebrows.
