I Was Transmigrated As An Extraordinary Extra

Chapter 186

I was ready to choke the life out of whoever it was, but then, as the blindfold slipped from my eyes, a rush of shock swept over me.

It was Kairos.

"What?" Confused, I instinctively held both of his cheeks, needing to confirm that it was really him—partly to keep him still, partly because my fingers trembled against his skin. My mind was a whirlwind, and his presence only added to my disorientation.

"Why are you here?" I demanded, my voice laced with urgency.

"Fulfilling a client’s orders," he replied calmly, as if it were a trivial matter. "And you?"

I don’t know why, but as soon as my skin touched his, the heat within me intensified. What is happening? My thoughts were muddled, and a strange pull was drawing me closer, igniting a desperate need that clouded my judgment. My limbs felt like jelly, and the battle to keep myself restrained slipped further from my grasp.

Before I even realized what I was doing, I instinctively hugged him, burying my face against his chest, seeking comfort.

Kairos stiffened for a moment, surprise flickering across his features, but then he relaxed into my embrace. "Looks like you’re feeling the effects of what they gave you," he said, folding his arms around me. "Interesting. You’re stronger than I anticipated."

"Just do something... It’s so uncomfortable... I’m hot all over..." I muttered, tightening my hold on him almost instinctively.

He shifted his position, sitting up while still cradling me against his chest. "Can you stand?"

I shook my head, the heat pulsing through my veins making me feel too weak and disoriented to even move.
