Chapter 131
I didn’t know much about Adrian Lerin’s life, he was only a minor character I wrote in my novel, his goal was to steal the Mana Essence which he failed to do, thanks to me.
As I recalled, he was a Halfling, part Rogue, part human because he sold a fragment of his soul to gain power. To become a full Rogue, though, he needed the interest of any Demon god who would offer him a contract.
"Noblesee Codex," I murmured, letting the words hang in the air as I took a deep breath.
In an instant, my spectral seal flared to life; my eyes began to glow with a golden hue. Strands of blue, luminous thread twisted together, intertwining and forming a book hovering before me.
This was my first genuine attempt at invoking this power; the last time had been cut short by an unexpected interruption.
"Adrian Lerin." I focused, wanting to learn more about him before investigating the person he wanted for me to look.
Immediately, the book opened, and the blank pages began to fill with text, letters forming slowly as if drawn by an invisible pen. Information poured out—Adrian’s background, his abilities, and bits of his history. Each word brought me closer to understanding the young man I had previously dismissed.
